Husqvarna RZ3016 zero-turn mower
I'm posting this for the purpose of helping someone else who might have a similar problem.
I had an intermittent no-crank-no-click problem that eventually became full time. I suspected a safety switch so I ordered one of every kind of switch and began testing them one at a time. I narrowed it down to the deck/blade control safety switch but it was not the switch, itself, that was bad. It turned out the switch simply wasn't being pressed far enough by the blade control arm to activate, as you can see in the images.
I tried bending its bracket closer to the blade control arm, which did make it work but I was still not satisfied that the button was being pressed far enough to suit me so I slid some vinyl tubing onto the blade control arm to increase its diameter and then wrapped it with tape.
