Hello all,

I own a Troy-Built Ride on Bronco 42" cut. I replaced a damaged blade today. The blade I replaced seems to be more tight than the blade on the other side. For example the new blade on the left of the tractor will hardly spin if you give it a good push. On the other side, the blade on the right of the tractor will spin almost a good full spin with a push. My question is, which one is right? should the blade hardly move with a push or should it spin freely? I have read that I may have to replace the bearings on the one that seems to tight.

Thanks in advance,
Josh

Does your deck engage with an electric clutch or lever?
If lever then there could be a pulley brake.
1 brake could be missing allowing easy spinning and the other there and touching the pulley.

Best way to test is take the belt off and then engage the pto to release the blade brake then give them a spin. Both should turn easy
