I'm 23 years young and inherited almost 2 acres of land and a Husqvarna Z4824 from my father (passed very unexpectedly). Please spell things out to me in explanations, as I'm new to this and unfamiliar with mechanical jargon.
I have a recent issue with the Husqvarna Z4824 mower. The adjustment peddle for the blade deck level isn't staying in place. When I lock and engage the pedal in position G, it slips down to position D or C when riding over a small bump. Do you have any recommendations on how to troubleshoot the issue?
Attached are two pictures of the pedal to give you an idea of what I'm talking about.

Looks as though you have a warn part that needs to be replaced.
The foot pedal should pivot about the pin it sits on ( there is a pair of plastic bushes in there ) and when you take your foot off the tab should go all the way to the bottom of the saw tooth.
Put some 2 x 4's under the deck to tane the wight off the height lever and check the action
