Blades blade length ?

I have a 42" deck ,,,, 2 blades. I bought a new set[baggers] old were mulch!
Now I have a roach in the middle of the cut . Roach not for smoking!!
My question is ,,, What length should the blades be?? The old mulch were 21"
The new are 20 3/4" ,,,,,,,, Could they be for a Huskyvarna??

I think you might have got the wrong blades for the machine or the blades may have been missed packaged with the wrong number to. Did they bolt on like they should? Do they wobble or any thing?:smile:

The blades fit just fine, There Is about 1/2" between the tips of the blades! Hushy allso uses
a simmilar blade, & spindal . The suply shop has been extremly sloppy with parts supply latly!
This meens another trip to town & deal with a" counter turtle" Thank for confirning my hunch!

Measure your blades, Length, cutting edge tip to cutting edge tip, diagonally... measure the width, and the blade thickness... mounting hole diameter (if it is a round hole) Then you will always know what those dimensions need to be when buying replacement blades... buy blades adoring to size L W T, and lift wing type... Not mower make...
You will normally be able to get a better blade for less. :smile:KennyV

I don't like "Tractor Supply" for most things thumbdown:almost 100% non American products:thumbdown however I found that they have a wide selection of blades. I can't speak to quality of steel, but you'll find the size you need.

I usually buy most blades off mymowerparts.com, and believe it or not they are the same blades TSC carrries only alot cheaper. Mine are $20.98 each at TSC, and $10.97 each at the site mentioned above..

Like with most expendables ... It pays to shop around. And to know how to measure what you need... rather than look for what goes on your make & model... same with belts, by parts using industry standard measurements... you can buy better stuff for a lot le$$... :smile:KennyV
