Last year I bought a Cub Cadet BC210 trimmer from Tractor Supply. I use it commercially and understand at there is NO warranty. It ran so well and because of the price this year I decided to buy a second for a back up. About a week after I bought the second one the first one died. I took it in to Tractor Supply to see who they might have in the area that worked on them. It stayed there o er three weeks and finally one day I got a call saying it was ready. I went in to pick it up and he guy at TS said it was no charge because the mechanic who came to pick stuff out to repair it had look at it and only adjusted the carburetor. I took it with me and naturally it would not run right. I took it to another shop a few miles from the house. I picked it up a couple of days later and that guy told me he just cleaned the carburetor. I took it and ran it a few minutes and the longer it ran the worse it ran till it quit. I carried it back to the shop. The guy there kept it several days and I did not hear from him so I went by and checked ith him. He said that he needs a diaphragm for the carburetor and was going to have to order it. Several days later I went back by and he told me that he had checked the compression and it as low and there was nothing else he cold do because parts would cost me more to fix it than it is worth.
Are parts really that hard to get or that expensive for those trimmers? Are they really that bad of trimmers? I have the per one still. We bought a Stihl and run it daily now but still use the other Cub Cadet for a backup when we need two anda I use it for the edger and pole saw attachments I have for it as well. It has not missed a lick.
Anybody got any suggestions as to what to do with the other one? Get it fixed. Throw it in the garbage?
