I have just acquired a
Kobalt 80-Volt Max 22-in Single-Stage Cordless Electric Snow Blower 6 Ah
This is my first experience with a rechargeable unit. My question is what is the best tips/tricks on how to store the battery in the off season when not using it to help the battery last longer? Also, the same question when using the battery during the winter off and on? Thanks.

This covers lithium ion batteries. Maybe it will help.

Take the battery out and store it on a solid non-flamiable surface with at least 2 ' clear space above it
Charge on the floor or a welding bench & only ever use the charger that came with it .
Li batteries can ( rare) spontaneously burst into flames and they can not be put out.
Thus they should always be stored & charged some where that if this happens they do not take the entire house with them.
And the same goes for things like cameras, computers & phones
All of mine get charged in the laundry tub.
Not much chance of a phone burning the house down but they have downed aircraft and sunk container ships .
