Well it one here that the customer have broken three brake cable as they were so tight you play a tune on them or the PTO clutch that the deck braking system falls off. That particular clutch BB stop using.
Or a Gravely where to deck baffles mounting points breaks off due all the flexing. Customer done had them welded but whoever did it did poor job and they also didn't re-enforced those areas. Not my place to warranty someone else workmanship.
Or the customer that brought a JD X350 that keeps throwing the deck belt and JD hasn't figure what causing yet. That customer said I would be getting it when the warranty is up.

surprisingly a worn brake shoe on some units can cause it.
As to the OP, since SARS2/Covid, when so many hard working people retired out, the quality of everything has suffered. Inflation came in during the last administration too in the worst way as they just spent and spent, (although half the US will deny it still), so manufacturers had to face selling at substantially higher prices - and lower sales volume because of it, or find ways to cut costs. The cutting costs has turned a lot of things into crap. We see it ALL the time. It is not manufacturer specfic although some are worse than others.
