I have a Bad Boy 07 ZT 60 Inch Z Turn that started to have a battery drainage problem. Replace the battery and starter solenoid, after a week would need a jump. Now will not turn over. Battery is reading good, solenoid good, starter good, check safety switches that read good, switch relays around and no change, can hear the starter relay click when turning key, and the deck motor still has power. What could be the issue, bad wire/connection, faulty switch/relay that could have a good reading., etc?
Check all wiring by hand making sure everything is tight & secure, especially ground straps & cables from engine to chassis & frame. Let us know what you find. Include all switches & relays, thanks, Mark
usually a corroded battery cable or two.
Water gets up inside the insulation and rots the cables out
Also check BOTH ends of Both battery cables
As for going flat that is generally a bad diode in the rectifier which trys to make the alternator become an electric motor when the engine is not running.
