Start with your bed knife sharp and true, then using any lapping compound you lap the reel to the bed knife... Just keep closing the space between the reel and the bed ...everything will sharpen up.
You can get reel compound Like this: Pro Mow Reel Grinding Compound - Lawn Equipment at Hayneedle
but any valve lapping compound will work...
Takes a bit of time but it is easy and as long as the bed knife is true the reel will polish up to match it. :smile:KennyV

Everything I've seen on backlapping tell me the mower needs to run in reverse.... How do I accomplish that with this mower...

Disable the drive and "adapt" a 1/2 inch variable speed drill motor or make a belt drive ...
There are several YouTube video clips that cover various reel lapping ...

The reel can be partially lapped into a correct fit to the bed knife by turning the normal rotation direction, But to get it perfect, it will need to be lapped in reverse.:smile:KennyV
