b/s only runs with choke fully closed

Sorry, "red" Stabil is not what it used to be unless you can find the "blue" marine Stabil because it is a little better.
Old school red Stabil works for me. Keep all tanks full of it over the winter. Always 1-2 pulls in the spring. Fuel lines don't dry rot and crack anymore. Saves me a lot of effort and money just in fuel lines every year.

Project Farm on youtube and I think Taryl said the blue Stabil marine version doesn't work. Use what you like.

Chickanic on youtube likes Ethanol Shield I think it is. Guess her area is loaded with E-10 and watered down gas.

come find out it was bad gas thanks for all the help
Are you using an open top gas can spout? Or a new EPA style that is sealed with o-rings and such?

Far right can spout is a no-no especially with E-10. Sucker is wide open letting water, humidity and grass/debris in. Every fill up you dump contaminated gas into the mower tank. Leads to clogged fuel tanks and carbs. It all starts RIGHT HERE.

Spout in the middle works good.

Hi Slomo,

I have switched over to Ethanol Shield recently, but I have not used it long enough to verify the efficacy of it. The heat down here in South TX is brutal on any fuel if left sitting very long.

Lucas brand Ethanol additive has been good also for the few times I have used it in my portable generator and air compressor engines.

Chickanic on youtube said if you run E-10, better use Ethanol Shield.

Open top gas can spouts are bad in that heat you have. Ages fuel in no time getting all that oxygen in there fuming away constantly.
