OK, got the Swisher electric start project finished. Picked up a starter, and a flywheel with starter teeth off ebay. Got a battery box, put a 12vt solenoid and a push button starter switch on it. Installed a mower battery in the box, with a couple wood blocks to hold it in place. I added 2 charging post through the lid to recharge it, or use it for other things.
Really works great.
What I did not expect was the engine had a 6lb cast flywheel on it. That was one reason it was fun to pull start....
I figure it was to help keep it running in heavy grass. The regular fly wheel will not cut as heavy a grass, so I have to cut a little slower. Other than that, it still operates as well as ever.
Then, stupid me, as soon as I set down after finishing it, I think, all I needed to do was get a small plastic box that the switch, and solenoid would fit in, and run wiring with a connecter to my garden tractor, and use it's battery.
That will be my next job.......:ashamed:
Thanks for the help guys.
