B&S Engine " TYPE " number ???? Anyone know what this # means?

I have an old Murray rider (believed to be a 2000-2002 model) and I'm trying to find a front bumper for it.

The bumper I've found is a muffler guard/bumper from a different mower but same engine model #... … and I might try to make it fit on the tractor …. but just wondering if it will actually fit MY muffler (Engine model # is same, but TYPE # is different).

My Engine:
Briggs & Stratton 20 HP OHV V-Twin
Model # : 407777
Type # : 0147 E1 --- The bumper I found had an engine code : 0137-F1
Code # : 020102Y G


My Murray Tractor:
Model # : 465603x92 B
Manufacture date code: 02014 = (2002/Jan/14) ????

407777-0147-F1 is not a valid model number Are you sure the F isn't actually an E.

The info the seller is giving is : 0137 F1
I'm sure it's "E", if it's not a valid code.

Engine Model #s are the same: 407777
The difference between these 2 "Type" numbers is :
Mine: 0147
His: 0137

Just wondering if they might be the same muffler....
AND what the "Type" # means.

I've done a google search for a decoder .... No luck.

This is the info the guys has:
"Scotts Lawn Tractor Model 46580X8A. All items tested and in good shape as described. Engine was a Briggs 407777 0137-F1 20HP unit."

I have a Murray tractor ... Not too concerned about tractor fitment. Mostly concerned about muffler fitment. (It's a muffler guard). So muffler size is a concern.

The muffler is usually part of the mower, not the engine.
On budget models the makers use the smallest engine mufflers that poke out the side.
However on Twins the muffler has to be made to fit the mower.
Seen a lot of mowers where you have to unbolt the hood in order to access the engine cause it fouls on the generic muffler the person has fitted.

Front bumpers are the same.
Seen several that foul on either the hood preventing full opening or the wheels before they get to full lock or both.
Wheel fouling seems to be worse when the front cross member is tilted.

Basic difference between your engine and his is they have different starters, and different oil pans.

Looking through this thread again for updates and realized I never confirmed the model #.
