Had this engine running almost fine had an issue where i could not increase engine speed... figured that one out had a mouse home under cowling cleaned up mouse house and had engine running pretty damn good... was leaking oil out of both valve covers so i removed them and cleaned them replaced gaskets and put them back on... it was late so i decided not to mess with it anymore.. went out next day and now she cranks but no spark i am like what the hell???? the only difference is i am using a starter pack instead of jumping from car this cant be making a difference can it???

make sure the little critters didn't eat some of your wires, I have seen this happen before.

I've had this problem too. I just want to be sure I understand what you are saying correctly. If you are saying there is no spark getting to the spark plug, than you will want to remove your ignition coil and just clean it up a bit. Make sure the spacing is correct between the ignition coil and the flywheel. Make sure it isn't touching but that is about a mm away from it. If this doesn't fix it, pick up a new ignition. (Some other things the "ignition" is referred to are: the "Magneto and the igntion armateur, or ignition coil.) This will surly fix the problem.

No if it is the plug that will not spark then try cleaning it. If it looks fouled get a new one. Something that may cause the plug to foul very quickly is a blown head gasket.

I hope this info may have helped you. I hope you get this problem worked out.
