I am unable to find any markings to signify which engine is on my recently acquired mower.
I enclose the Plate and wonder if any information can be given me.

You don’t say what you are looking for. Type this into your search engine “commodore B17E”. You should be able to find a lot of info.
 
Thanks Rivets. I,m looking to find the engine maker.Many of these were Japanese- Mitsubishi I think, but I can't find any stamp on the engine. The only indication I can see is an ignition unit marked Japan.
