I am trying to repair the spindle on an Ariens Model 936033 lawn tractor.
I know this is a crude drawing. How do I remove the woodruff pin and block from the spindle weldment so I can replace the spindle housing and bearings?

Take a side cutters and grab the key with the cutting edge flat against the spindle shaft. Now pry up on the key, should pop out. No, you will not ruin the key doing it this way.
