Ariens part 01178100 .875 keyway Hub Adapter. I called my nearest dealer and they found a this part for me, but under a different number. I guess part # 01178100 is not being made any more, however she did find it's replacement. She would not give me the new part number and price between old and new parts is almost double.

Does anyone here have the new number?

Specs: .875" Keyway. If I need a pic I will be glad to show you.

Yes, I think the first model # is wrong, but i do believe the second is correct. I will call them tomorrow. Thank you and I will let you [forum] know so we can record this as a correct fix for the 911075. Thank you!

The piece itself is a single piece of cast pot metal with a single key way (3/16" W) with a .875 female fit. It sounds life the .875 (7/8") is a common size for Ariens drive shafts. I am guessing that it is about 3 inches high.

Now I did look up the blade adapter on Jacks Model # 911505 Blade adapter and found it is the exact as Model # 911075 which was/is 01178100.

I know this is may be a "dead horse" but I have dug and think I have found the correct part to my Areins mower, M# 911075. I need the Blade Adapter .875 Dia. Keyway, Part # = 01178100 . I was told that the part number that replaced this was 5110900, this is not correct part. I have found pics and asked a dealer if this is the part# they were to sell me as a replacement, the answer was no. I was frustrated and had bought a mower in the time I was gone of the forum, but the cheap mower just bit it. SO I am back on the horse to fix this monster. I loved this mower before, so I want to rekindle the flame sort of speak.

My Findings for the correct part # for Blade Adapter .875 Dia. Keyway, Model # 911075 are:

01121700 new part#

the 5110900 is the correct part for those who have NON- self-propelled mowers to my understanding.

The recalled part was 01178100 ... the new replacement part number is #51109000 this part number is a kit. the pulley part is now separate from the hub.
Also part of the kit is: the bolt, washer, lock washer, spring washer, and woodruff key for the pulley part.
Since this is a recall part... call Ariens to see if you qualify based on model number, serial number and age of your mower. Ariens sent me the part, free, due to the recall which has no expiration. They just check their records to verify it was not already repaired/fixed/replaced in the past.

To all that say the part does not fit:. Yeah I had the same problem. I called Ariens and said WTF (they picked the part). In short if the part seems like it just barely not fits.(seems like is a shaving too small) You need to sand the shaft down. (remove rust and possibly more) This part is designed to fit the 7/8" shaft (aka .875"). If your shaft is less than an inch then it probably is 7/8". Once I sanded the Sh!t out of the shaft it slid right on. PS add some anti-seize to the parts.
