I just acquired the above mower.The gear shift lever is in the reverse position but the transmission is in neutral. Also it will only go to the 5th gear position. I assume it then in 6th gear.
Is this just a simple linkage adjustment or what???

Could be a linkage adjustment or could also mean the somebody bumped the shift lever on something and bent the shift lever itself.
