Ariens 828 Rear Motor Drive Mower

How do I adjust the clutch belt on my Ariens 828 Rear Motor Mower. I put a new belt on recently and did not adjust the belt. When I'm cutting the grass, sometimes the blade stops turning and I can smell the belt burning. I need to tighten the belt to cut more effectively.

Maybe a new tension spring is the answer....or a several mm shorter belt....
