I am trying to put a JD CV-491 engine onto a Craftsman riding mower. I know what the wiring is from the plug on the Sears mower
it is Blk=gnd, Red= hot on run and start, Blue - short to gnd when key is turned off to stop motor.
The Kohler engine (from an L110) has 3 wires going in, a black, white and red. The white is probably the engine stop wire?? Not
sure on the wires into the motor. Does anybody have info. on this? Thanks !
Take the blower housing off & see where they go
Alternator should have another plug on it so the alternator can be replaced
Magneto ( coils ) wire to short out & stop the engine that will go open & closed circuit to ground with ignition on & off .
fuel solenoid goes 0 to battery voltage to open the fuel passage.
Took cowling off. The white wire is the engine "kill" wire. The red wire goes to the fuel solenoid. The Black wire goes to the
center of the 3 terminal regulator that is attached to the housing.
