I had posted earlier about my Murray mower not starting, and you guys rightly suggested that the carburetor had leaked gas in the crankcase.
It ran great for a day, but I saw today that I'm again out of gas! When I left it with half a tank! And when I checked, my oil level was MUCH higher than I'd left it, so obviously the float is still hung open :-( I've cleaned it twice now, but the needle DOES look a little bent at the top so I guess I need to replace it.
The problem I'm having is that I can't find a part number. I've never worked on a lawnmower carburetor so I'm a bit hesitant to remove the whole thing, but I can replace the bowl, float, and needle easily enough. I haven't seen any jets or solenoid valve, though, so I'm a little lost on that...
Either way, it's a Murray, built in 2003, model number 309029X92NA.
Any guess on a part number for the needle? Failing that, a part number for the whole carburetor? I usually rely on ereplacementparts.com to help me find model numbers, but they don't have a carburetor listed for this model.
