air filter

Concerning my L130 automatic, when I removed the air filter there was what appeared to be a ball bearing rolling on the bottom of the vertical filter? The engine seems to run ok but where did this round ball come from? It appears to fit perfectly in a metal tube above the carburetor. Any thoughts?
 
Model number information from the engine would assist us in looking up your exact engine so we can see what you see.
 
remove it and see if it is magnetic. Could be a ball of plastic, dirt, or something that made a ball rolling around. I have never seen anything like this but I can visualize it happening.
