Air filter

I replaced the carb on my 125cc Briggs and Stratton engine. Now it will only run without the air filter which is brand new. Any idea what I should do now?

When are people going to learn to stop buying that Chinese junk. Personally anyone that repairing their equipment should be at least will to pay OEM prices for the parts since they avoid paying for the services of a knowledgeable mechanic. The reason we for our labor as we have done our research and know bettter than use clones; unless, it is a case of last resort. Several the clones that comes in my shop every year has to be either reworked or replaced. Customers go away both happy and mad at the same time.

In this case it sounds like the clone is jetted for a larger engine. Just because the carburetor looks the same doesn't mean it jetted right.
