Can an Battery starter be added to my 10515? I located the 10546 on YouTube it looked a lot like the 10515. I guess the block has to have mounting spot for the starter. And that is why I am asking for help before I go any further with my idea.

Also can a primer ball be added to the 10515 Thanks willyp33,

I think the issue is the flywheel. You will need the flywheel with teeth, I have a 10547 and I believe the blocks are all the same not positive however, you will most definitely need a flywheel with teeth for the starter to drive.

willyp33 The flywheel has teeth . There is a void right in back of the shut off gas valve, is that the place the starter would mount?

I guess I would go onto partstree and see if you can pull up both parts diagrams and see if there is a difference.

you want to put on what everybody takes off you need the inner plastic shroud that has the opening for the generator too.oh yeah you need the generato and the wiring my advice is don't do it I just last week took all that stuff off so if you are determined I may have parts but IMO the whole electric start option is not worth the trouble

I can pull start the mower my wife cannot ,the 50 dollar price was worth all the extra wheels and parts that came with. I love the bagger, works like a vacuum. What would it take to get the parts ? I would use a trickle charger If I could not connect the generator. Also, the mower needs to be primed to start, I have an older model that does have a primer ball. This mowers primer ball is part of the carb. I don't want to use starter fluid I've been told bad it will hurt mower. The mower is hurting me my right shoulder can't survive. Any suggestions? Thanks

My advice is to keep watching craig list for a electric start model.
