just acquired this rider for free. got a V-twin briggs, everything is on it, and functiong (ie. deck belt tensioner works, engine has compression and turns over)
I need a new deck belt for it, but im a little bit confused, There was a part number supercession, from 197253 to 592855001

the 197 belt shows 1/2x101-1/16"L the 592 belt shows 1/2x100-1/2"​

so would 9/16" length difference make a difference? i don't have any belts that i can try here.

Husqvarna apparently decided a slightly shorter belt was needed. Plus as you mower's spindle pulleys and the engine's pulley wears a shorter belt maybe be needed.

The owner's manual for my 2005 LT1000 with B&S engine detailed different part numbers for the drive belt and the deck/mowing belt, the specifications on these were 1/2 inch different.

I use the same belt size for each location.

keep the old belts you replace
cut the longest one then use it to measure the length of belt needed
1/2" usually does not make a difference with an electric PTO but does with a manual PTO

havent messed with the belt yet, but i did get the Intek twin running, it runs beautifully. I love something about how these V-twins sound running full throttle.
Looks like next will be replacing the rocker cover gaskets, rebuilding or replacing the spindles.

BTW, any one of you gents may know what bearings they use in the spindles?

i'd prefer to get all my bearings before i tear it apart, let it sit etc.

Should be 6203-2RS and 6204-2RS since those are the non-greaseable version. The 587820301 (Oregon 82-029 if want them in after market) is the greaseable version but they still with the 2RS bearings which have to take apart the spindle and remove the inner seals.

The weird part here is both OEM spindles are the same price from my distributor so I stock both here.

For greasable spindle housing I fit a 2 RS in the bottom and a Z or ZZ in the top which will let the air out as they are only a dust seal
These I can grease them till the grease exudes from the top spindle bearing so I know the cavity is totally full
Z masters use open bearings and grease seals and the same applies
Bottom seal goes in lip in and top is lip out so air can escape

Would one of you gents be able to source me a wiring schematic for this mower.
I have no power to the headlight switch.
I have ground, no power.
And I lose the power wire in the loom.

Unplug headlight switch & clean connections with CRC Electrical Cleaner apply Dielectric Grease & give her a try.
