On those type drive systems, it's either a belt or pulley worn. Or someone installed an idler backwards.

Actually I replaced a worn belt with a new non-OEM belt that was too short. I ordered an Amazon generic belt. Rivets suggested that an OEM belt would fix it and it sure did. The OEM belt was just a tad bit longer allowing the tensioning system to operate correctly.

Belt should be 95” long. OEM #532138255
Actually should be 95.25" (95-1/4") according to price file here. Some sites are shorting the descrip.

And it is very common for aftermarket belts to be shorter than printed info states including what is printed on the belt themselves. This is why I seldom buy after market belts anymore. Also I got a V-blet measuring tool here to check all the v belts.

You can buy 6 of the SAME belt. None will measure the same. We change the belts on our air handlers at work. Some are 3 belts and others are 2 per unit. Never match up and run good. They last about a year of 24/7 duty.
