Greetings
I have a 7hp engine that appears to be new old stock.
How do I value this engine? I need one but I hate to use this after many years of storage.
Should I store it, use it or sell it to a collector and buy a new one? What is the value - roughly - ??
I can get photos if anyone wants to see it.

If you have a use for it I don't understand why you wouldn't use it. I really don't see collector wanting it because they are more into the really old hit and miss engines or specialty engines. It sounds like what you have is just a common engine. If its a Briggs that has a PTO that runs off the camshaft its value would be more. You can buy a new OHV engine cheap any more so I really don't see the value in what you have. But who knows put it on E-Bay and see what happens.
