52" 21 hp kohler ZTR snapper.

I bought the mower real reasonable. the wrong drive belt was put on it and it was too long. I replaced it with a smaller one that works fine. The mower rolls really easy. It runs good and will turn the wheels if I lift it off the groung,but if I let it down on the ground, it will stop the wheels and go nowhere. I can hear the motor lug a little,but that is all. I was advised that the wheels were knocked out of gear so it will roll,but I can not find a lever or switch of any kind. Can anyone advise me as to what my problem is?

You say "replaced it with a smaller one that works fine" but is it the right one..? look at the drive pulley to see if that's turning when the wheel's are not..!

thanks for the reply. i found the relief valves for the pumps and turned them in. The mower works fine now,
