45 year old Murray won't start.

This old gal has been faithful for a long time. I've had it for about 10 years.
Today she was hard starting and then went totally silent. I replaced the fuse and tried again. The motor turned over a few times, almost started and then went silent again. I can't find any signs of a broken wire and the new fuse is okay.
 
It was turning over but wouldn't start. It does that often but eventually starts. It stopped turning over and now dead silence.
