Mine doesn't have a cable on the bottom. It's just controlled by pulling the governor rod up and down according to the decals. I tried uploading a picture, but it says the file is too large.If your referring to this

That is a throttle cable.

It stays in one place. It has a little pressure tab from the carb bowl screw. I haven't been able to mess with the speed, because I can't figure out what is supposed to hook to what. I've tried like StarTechs picture, but it binds up and pops the hook out or doesn't retractIf you have no throttle control cable, I’m wondering if you have a constant speed setup. When you move the governor rod does it stay in one place or drop back down? Second question, when you move the governor rod does the engine speed decrease?
