Maybe 10 years ago by now, my Simplicity 3410 with a basic 3 speed forward, 1 reverse made this metal on metal noise when I made a right hand turn. After 2 or 3 weeks the rear wheel and axel came out of the transmission rear end assembly. I inched it into the shed and replaced it with a rear end assembly from an old Simplicity 725 that I had.
I have 4 different Simplicity 7000 series garden tractors. One of them is a Simplicity 7016 it has that same transmission, rear end. It is making the same noise that my 3410 did before it fell apart. I don’t want to loose the tractor. The transmission is full of gear oil. I take good care of my tractors.
Any useful advice would be appreciated
