25hp kohler bad head gasket ?

Just out of curiosity, how many hours on this engine and what kind of oil do you use?

1100hrs and always used kohler oil

Wow, that's alot of Hours. Man that could be bad valve quides, wore rings etc. I'd probably do a comp check on this and see if that shows up anything.
