I have a 240 JD, but have a slipping clutch, is there a repair for this? short of Replacing. Great Tractor, I wish the new ones were built like this 240.

:welcome:

You will get a better response to your question in the John Deere section, but as far as I'm aware, the only repair for a slipping clutch, is a new clutch!

crystal... WELCOME to LMF..

Most clutches are not rebuild-able, but a some of the older ones are adjustable... if you have not slipped it so much as to burn up the friction surfaces, you may be able to adjust the air gap, and that could tighten it some what...

If you do need to replace the clutch... check around as electric clutches will vary a lot in price... eBay is a good place to look.. :smile:KennyV
