The governor quit on my 22hp Intek engine. I looked online to see how to replace the governor gear. The articles i read show a flat washer under the governor gear. The articles show a flat washer with a 90 degree tab on them but mine just has a washer with no 90 degree tab. Is this normal for a 22hp intek engine model 441777? Thanks.

It would help to have the spec number that follows the engine model number.

mine is the same except for the tab that sticks up. Does it matter which side goes down? Mine looks the same on both sides. Thanks again for your help.

The tab goes down to prevent it from rotating with the governor spinning. Not all had the tab, but they do the same job.
