Have you greased spindles? Purchased my Simplicity lawn tractor 11 years ago got it home looked it over, Dealer had not greased tractor. Greased &. lubed all fittings, linkages, etc. per Operators Manual. Also is deck belt routed properly around pulleys ?
I did not mean for you to jump to conclusions, spindle bearings should be sealed & greased from manufacturer, should be checked by Quality Control. Spindle assembly should be same, packed with grease from manufacturer. With key removed from ignition, can you turn front spindle by hand?
Happened to me too. Supposedly a lot of new Ferris this year were under greased. If you put the zerk fittings on, you'll need to pump a whole lot of grease on there to fill the tube, otherwise the grease won't reach the bearings. I ended up popping the black cap off and put a mixture of grease and gear oil in there.
