I've got a 21hp platium ohv single cylinder starts right up. I try & mow starts missing popping & cracking ! I have put new carbuertor, new air filter;new fuel filter, set valves & new plug. It seems to foul plugs pretty quick! Anyone have any ideas?

With all the safety switches they have gave us it is possible one is vibrating and trying to shut it down with just enough resistance to make a weak spark but not kill it. In this case it seem to be activated by engaging the PTO switch. A lot of the manufactures are taking the safety switch wires to the PTO switch about 6 or 7 of them on the back of it. When I think it is one of the safety switches I remove the shroud from the flywheel and unplug the small grounding wire from the spark module and try it , if the problem is gone then it goes back to the safety switches . You will have to pull the plug wire to kill the engine because the grounding wire is not plugged into the module so the key can ground it out when it is turned to stop position. A lean fuel condition would cause it to backfire some in the muffler but I dont think that would foul the plug.
first idea is to check the timing key in the flywheel.
Too far retarded will cause the plugs to soot up and the engine to run bad when the throttle opens up & the revs increase
Check that the choke is fully off when the engine is at full throttle.
This will also cause the engine to run bad and soot up the plugs.
Check the oil .
If it ism thin & smells a bit like fuel then the float valve in the carb is not cutting off the fuel.
