"I have a craftsman 21 HP briggs and stratton that started stalling out about one week ago. It runs for a short while and then it seems to run out of gas. I drained the gas tank, cleaned the air filter and put on a new fuel filter. I am still having the same problem. Is there a fuel pump and if so is it easy to get to and change out? What should I expect to pay?:frown:

You need to find and post the engine's model numbers off of the tag or valve cover, and if it is an OHV, you should check your valve gaps.

How is the gas tank vent? It depends where the gas tank is located as to if it has a fuel pump or not. If the tank sits above the engine its a good chance it is gravity feed and if the fuel tank is in the rear of the tractor you have a fuel pump. price of a fuel pump should be less then 20 dollars and I see them on E-Bay for about 10 dollars???
