I have a Craftsman Generator with a B/S 20412-0147-E1 engine. Is it possible to convert it to electric start?

That series shows an electric starter, but you would need a flywheel with a ring gear too, and switch, wiring, battery etc..

I'd guess that's a pretty hefty pull on the rope to get that going. I agree, time for a new generator, some good deals on quality machines out there these days unless you can find a similar used unit for low dollars on local marketplace sites.
