Does anyone know how to access the fuel idle adjustment screw? The carb has three covered access ports on the top rear throat which on some other similar carbs have a lean/rich adjustment screw. I can drill and remove the factory plug but I am not sure which of the three in a row plugs covers the screw. My mower is running lean at idle and adjusting this screw has help my other mowers with the same issue yet they were not covered at the factory. Thanks.

First lets start with the actual model and spec number of the engine so we can research what is there and what is avaiable. Would hate for you to remove the plugs and then not have a screw since most of the new carbs are just a fixed jet, and replacement welch plugs may not be readily available to cover the openings.

Bingo. Some welch plugs are not available on several carbs I had to replace because some DYIer removed them.

Ok thanks. I will go down and get that information. Just bought it with 46.0 hours.
