2016 xt1 50" trans belt

Hopefully someone can up with some other ideas as from here I would it in my for to put my hands on it to try to figure out what in heck is wrong.

I wish you good luck finding the problem. IF do please post what it was so we have in our thoughts later if any of us comes across the same problem.
Went out this morning to give it a once over again. Started yanking on belt just out of being POd about all of this. Noticed pulley on top of trans moved. There it was, top of trans appears to be cracked causing belt to be loose. Thought I'd heard a noise once in awhile under seat, like a clunk. Thought it was just the deck. Not going to spend $1,000 for new, going to retire it. Heard the trans was weak on these but haven't seen a post about this. Lasted almost 10 years over 500 hrs. Some hills and rough areas about 2 acres. Don't owe me nothing. Now just have to shop around to find a good deal on one. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help too.

Belt should only be loose when brake on. Check for something dragging the belt. Check that the pulleys are not bent and are level with each other. On remaining pulleys, feel inside for and ridges or rough spots.

Ignore my last post, didn't see one about loose trans. Many trans are mounted with the 4 bolts at the axle and 2-4 thru mounting brackets to the front and sides of the trans. They all must be there and tight.

Hello all.
Have a trans belt that keeps popping off. This is the second belt doing this, the belt don't seem tight. Springs connected, new pulleys and adjusting arm is all the way out.
Any ideas.
Make sure pulleys are all on the same plane. None higher or lower than the rest. Use washers to adjust accordingly. And ensure all are level, not at an angle. And of course, ensure the belt tension is correct. Too tight or too loose will make belt come off. And make sure there isn't any debris stuck in a pulley. I've had that happen several times.

Perhaps take a long straight edge to see if the pulleys align. If unable to shim or align, possibly use a narrower belt. Belt palace is reasonable.

remember this thread. A few weeks from now someone new will indicate they just bought a mower with a transmission top that is broken, and does anyone know how to fix it. :)

Weve seen that a few times.

I had a strange situation a few years ago where 3 different neighbors kept passing the same mower around with the same "I just bought this and it's broken" story.

Finally, the 4th guy in line decided to spend the money and actually have it fixed.

People can be fickle.

IF the case is broken I would have thought there would have a rather large oil leak. It is more likely that pulley and input shaft are worn out which I have seen several times. NAd have repaired.
