Have this mower, and after awhile, left side transaxle has trouble going backwards. From what I understand, they are not serviceable, or can they be? Can a person rebuild them, if parts can be found, or is it best to buy a new one? If that's the case, anyone have a good one that's for sale?

Please provide a model number for the Bad Boy mower. That said, they are not serviceable on the light residential units. However, you can remove it and dump the oil and replace it with 20-50 full synthetic. Are your control handles adjusted properly... hydro belt and tensioner pulley okay? Any oil leaks on that tranny? Does it move forward normally? If it moves forward as it should, then the tranny is fine and your handle needs adjustment.

ZC-DPBB-3DKC-1FPX (Bad Boy PN 050-4031-00) superseded to ZC-DPBB-3DKC-1MPX List price $873.56.

I just had one of those units in the shop with limited reverse. Actually a 2016 MZ Magnum It might just need the air purged from the drive.

And EZT transaxle is service-able. It just some the parts are only available in kits.

If you do need a tranny, the cheapest one I came across is $650.00. You can get a rebuild kit for around $400, but it's not for the faint of heart to rebuild one. It's a PITA and cleanliness is crucial.
