2011 lt 2000 drive belt replacement

New member and Thankful I found this site. 2011 LT 2000 42" Mower. Model # 247.288841

Can anyone give me direction on installing the ( I call it the drive belt) belt running from the engine to the transmission. I have removed the deck and am stumped. Thanks Mike

It's real easy, buy only mtd belt's they are 5/8inch or at least the long belt is. Take deck off, turn mower on right side,remove front pulley, then middle pulley to remove belt, then the rear belt off the trans, it can be forced off and back on, replace middle pulley with belt in place, then put belt on front pulley and slide it back on and install bolt. Then replace small belt and spring for tension. Took me a couple hour's taking my time. Run's like the first day i bought it. They wanted $194.00 at the shop, not worth paying to have done, do it yourself.
