2007 Stiga ST102 estate engine/wiring issue

Hi all, I have a 2007 Stiga ST102 estate collector, it had a Kohler 17hp single engine fitted, it did its thing, top crankcase cover came loose and smashed the crank case, so I swapped it out for a 20hp v twin Honda engine, should have been a straight swap but I am having no end of trouble with the wiring on it, I can get it to run by bypassing the electrical system and jump starting it direct to the starter, it runs for awhile but the alarm in the mower screams its head off and often the engine cuts out, I also do not think it is charging as the charge light does not go out, any suggestions on what I can do? First, before we can start to try to help you out we will need to have the model and serial numbers off both the unit and engine. Then we can try to find a wiring diagram. Second, how proficient are you at understanding electrical circuits and electrical wiring? Swapping out engines, especially different brands is not a simple plug and play, even for the pros. Also, do you have the proper tools to complete a job like this? Test light, VOM, crimper, connectors, possibly a soldering iron, extreme patience. When troubleshooting electrical problems you can get into trouble very quickly and end up costing yourself big $$$$ when you try to save a dime.
