Bought a used 2007 for a decent deal, runs well, it's in decent shape, the issue Im having is that the deck PTO wires that run from the bottom of the switch and to the PTO clutch got ripped apart when the drive belt broke from the previous owner.
There is a "flat" (2) wire pigtail about 6" off the clutch and another gender connector, (for lack of a better term it is shaped like a capitol "L"), pigtail coming off the bottom of the PTO switch. So it appears to me that even if I wanted to, these two connectors are of different genders so they will not be able to plug into each other.
Since I bought this used and the previous owner had no idea what was there in the first place, (as do I), I researched manuals and such online to no avail, none of the manuals seemed to show any wiring of the switch or clutch wiring.
I will get some pics and post them, all I can think of is that there was some other inline connector that is now long gone or another pig tail that made a connection and went or came from somewhere else.

You are looking for the upper connector in the following image on the mower wiring harness. The lower is the one that was described. It will have male terminals inside it.
It may have pull off or cut off and would need replacing. Here I have a modified open barrel crimper due to the standard open barrel crimper damages the male terminals.
one wire is switch hot when you pull out the switch, the other is ground, meter this out , cut off the connector and hard wire. Or pick up some connecters and replace. This is a five minute fix if you can use a meter and tools. r
Thanks for the replies, this has helped.
I took my volt meter and trusty old school pen tip test light and verified power at the pigtail off the switch when the PTO is pulled.
I also verified the clutch works by simply applying 12v and Ground to the clutch and I hear it pop in/out as I add power and take away power.
As a temp fix and to see if it would spin and cut, I ran a dedicated 12v line with a simple SPST switch with ground to the clutch via butt splice and it works fine.
However, since I did that, it still cuts in reverse which I kinda wanted it to do anyway.
Thanks very much for the replies, I paid $200 for it, installed a new fuel filter ($5), as the one that was on there was pretty jank looking and it kept surging and seemed like it was starving for fuel and it fires right up now...$205 and a hillbilly switch and it works for me!
Thanks all!
Be very very careful using the mower like that
If you should be out of the seat the blades will continue to spin
So there is a very high chance of chopping off parts of your anatomy or for instance a child or grandchild who rushes to greet you
There is a very good reason why the blade switch runs through the seat switch

I will double check that and its a good point...I am pretty sure if the parking brake in not on when I get out of the seat and attempt to spread open the hydo controls it kills the motor..I for sure will investigate this as it was just a quick test to see if the clutch functioned and it cut.
