So 4 months ago it was eating batteries. So we took it to the local SCAG dealership in Bogart GA. After waiting 2 months and spending $548 they replaced the electronic clutch on the rear of the engine, installed a new battery and serviced everything (I didn't ask for the service - I just wanted the battery problem solved). I didn't complain. I brought it home and cut the grass once. Now we have 16 acres of grass that gets mowed, so it was a solid 4 hours of run time. Put it in the garage and 10 days later it won't start. It cranks fine. It gets spark to the plugs. The fuel pump will NOT run on it's own, so we hot wired it to see if it was defective - nope - it pumps perfectly. All of the fuses we can find are perfect (two by the seat and one close to the battery). Knowing that I can't afford another 2 month partial repair, not to mention the $548, I decided to investigate the obvious potential culprits. I installed a new ECU module - that's not the problem. New relays - not the problem. Checked the safety switches - one on each handlebar, the parking brake, the seat sensor - all work as advertised. I hotwired the fuel pump to run constantly when the key is "on" and it still won't start. Like I said, it gets spark. It has fuel pressure. It is fuel injected but I don't know if that is a problem - unlikely. So I'm stumped. The folks at SCAG in Oakwood have a 7-10 day backlog and no one will answer the phone in Bogart. Any suggestions?
