Briggs model # 28B707
type 1153-E1

Been sitting for a while, thoroughly cleaned carb, including removing the emulsion tube/main jet.
Runs great for 1min. Then the engine Boggs down, dark visible black smoke comes out of the exhaust. For maybe 20 seconds, then runs fine. I have not tried to load the mower with the blade yet....

The governor seems to jump around while it is bogging. Not sure if this could be an idle circuit in the carb, I haven't found a good YouTube video on that part

Any advice insight is much appreciated!

Thank you
Chris

Results manual & parts list

First time on this forum, member on many forums, (mopeds, cars, Waverunners) not sure what that means,I'm did download the owners manual. That is great for type of fuel filter, oil, quantity etc, didnt see anything about my issue. I also searched the previous post, nothing that helped my issue.

Thank you

Thats just Mark.
His first responce is to post the links to any free available service information and we all love him for it.

Now your carb is not right.
black smoke = rich mixture
Most likely cause is float valve not working.
second most likely, missing main jet ( we have all lost one , or two )
third, linkages crossed up & choke staying on.

Results are the same, the carb has to come off again.
But before you do it have a good look at the linkages .
