This may be old hat to many, but I discovered a neat looking tool at wal mart today . It is a clear plastic syringe with oil ratio mix level for gas marked for pint and quart. Have not used it, but looks like a good one for $3. "MixMizer" by Hopkins Mfg Emporia KS tel 620- 342- 7320, 1-800-524-1458. PN 310-0503-053. Got the last one.

I think I'll pick one up. It will be especially helpful at the end of the season when I only want to mix up a little bit to get me to the end of the season. It beats making a gallon and keeping it over the winter, or mixing the wrong ratio and making a bigger problem.

What I like is that it replaces the little bottle (was 1 oz iodine bottle) I used for years marked with a line for 40 and 50 to one for chainsaw and trimmer. That is always hard to read. We'll see. I always mix one quart so I can maintain good turn over of the ethanol 10 gas. Clever people out there.
