Looking for some help from the swap gurus.
I own a 1995 K gro Power pro 4218. Unit was made by AYP-Model LT4218C . Serial #020995A (This is all I can see on the ID sticker, for its torn).
Unit was running great, all of the sudden felt a shudder then the right wheel started banging anytime i tried to accelerate.Sounds like i broke gears inside.
There are no parts available for the tranny.
Are there any hydrostatic assemblies that would work with my mower made by other brands? Im ok doing small modifications on a swap.: but I can't pull crazy swaps anymore. I suffer from neuropathy and this restricts all my movements. So having to weld or remove body from frame is a no no for me.
Appreciate any help in the matter.

Personally I would sticking with Peerless/Dana/Spicer transaxle. Lot of older mowers that can have them but the linkages can be different so have both your mower and donor present during the change out.
