i decided last year to remove fender and power wash the top side of the transmission. It was filthy!! No doubt I added ten more years to his life! I also washed the top of the engine too after removing the radiator and fan. It was a MESS!!

you're welcome. it's been a labor of love for sure. lol
Get a 3' or 4' long air duster and blow up there clean every season.
Do not us water as that will set the dirt into clay.
They need to be that long so you can pass it through all the small holes and have your head far enough away to not have dirt for dinner.

it was completely dry before re install. i used the leaf blower on it then let it sit in the sun the rest of the day.

A better explanation why to not use water to clean deck. When things get hot they expand and when they get cold they shrink. So hot spindle get cold from water and shrinks producing a vacuum that draws water inside of the spindle. Even the smallest drop of water will destroy bearings in no time at all.

thanks man! i really love mine. i got it from original owner and made sure he fixed everything that came up. i have replaced a lot of warn parts due to 23 years of use and for my piece of mind. lol Only thing i lack is cam swap, along with fuel pump, waiter pump, oil pump, and every gasket in between.
