New to the site... My All original 1965 5233 Lawn-Boy I got last year... Looking for a recoil spring for it. Anyone know how to find one?

I have had the best luck finding parts on ebay, including nos for my 53. Also you may try MTF they have a very good group of LB collectors. If you need part #s let me know.
 
Go to ebay, your engine is a regular d series, almost any d series starter will work with you mower including the bricktops. You might try some local lawn mower shops they may have a couple of the older lawnboys or lawnboy parts saved back from previous tradeins or fixes!!
