I recently purchased a 2018 Turf Tiger 2 with a bad Kawasaki replacement engine. I had access to a Vanguard 35 (original engine) with a broken connecting rod. I have rebuild the Vanguard and have most everything but a muffler. I have searched the Net and can not confirm which Vanguard 35BV muffler fits the Turf Tiger 2. After contacting the 2 Vanguard muffler sellers online, both said wasn't sure it fit Scag, it may need adjustments to fit. NOT going there ! Any suggestions, part numbers, or websites would be grateful. Thanks ! ...

S# M0502061 That's what I read about mufflers also but even brand new engines don't come with mufflers. The PO rigged a muffler on the 25hp Kawi that was on the mower when I bought it. Needless to say, I can't use that.

Correct, Those engines don't come with exhaust. But for the 35 HP vanguard horizontal shaft you are basically limited to 3 mufflers The 846246 mid mount oil filter side discharge or the 845741 high mount starter side discharge and the 846154 high mount center discharge. Pick one that doesn't interfere with anything on the mower and puts the exhaust out the best direction.
The high mount mufflers will also require the 843487 high mount support brackets along with the exhaust studs and other mounting bolts.
